As part of its expansion, Westfield London launched a new community grants initiative in January 2016, which supports local organisations looking for sponsorship of up to £1,000 with over 21 projects having been selected already.
The community grants scheme is designed to focus specifically on a diverse array of projects and individuals from the north of the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, and aims to make a significant difference within our local neighbourhoods.
To apply for a grant during the fourth round of funding, please download this form and email to Rhian.Ellis@Westfield.com by 4th May 2018.
The Westfield community grants panel, led by representatives from local businesses, Westfield London, the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and residents’ representatives, meets twice annually to decide where funds will be directed based on bids received.
To date, the local organisations that were each awarded funding of up to £1000 to implement community projects include:
Duncan Bower, Director of Development at Westfield, said: “These projects will make a real difference to people living within our local neighbourhoods. It’s really important for us that our investment is felt throughout the area and we are pleased that our community grant initiative is delivering that.”
Councillor Sue Fennimore, Deputy Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham Council, said: “Westfield London has long been a major community hub and its expansion will bring even more benefits to the area including investment in infrastructure, skills and the public realm. These grants are part of Westfield’s wider efforts to support local people by providing funding for groups seeking £1,000 and I look forward to seeing the latest recipients bringing their exciting projects to fruition.”
